• Solus Christus - Christ alone is our mediator and our high priest. We need no earthly intermediary between ourselves and God, and we owe our ultimate allegiance to Christ alone.
• Soli Deo Gloria - All glory and honor belong to God alone. This principle prevents us from worshipping human leaders or institutions and keeps our focus on the eternal rather than the temporal.

These principles, which fueled the Protestant Reformation, are the only foundation upon which we can stand against the coming tide of deception and tyranny.

The Historical Precedent

The Protestant Reformers faced a similar situation to what we face today. They confronted a corrupt religious system that claimed absolute authority over human conscience, a political system that enforced religious conformity through violence, and a cultural system that suppressed independent thought and biblical truth.

Yet they stood firm, even unto death, because they understood that some things are more important than life itself. They chose to obey God rather than men, and their courage and sacrifice preserved the light of truth for future generations.

The Modern Application

Today's Protestant resistance must operate on multiple levels:

• Spiritual - Through prayer, Bible study, and spiritual warfare against the forces of darkness
• Intellectual - Through education, research, and the preservation of truth
• Cultural - Through the creation of alternative institutions and communities
• Political - Through lawful resistance to tyrannical laws and policies
• Economic - Through the support of businesses and organizations that uphold biblical values

The goal is not to retreat from the world, but to be salt and light in a dark and corrupt generation. We must engage the culture while maintaining our distinctiveness, influence the political process while keeping our ultimate focus on the kingdom of God.

The Cost of Resistance

Standing for truth in our time will come at a cost. Those who refuse to conform to the new world order will face:

• Economic persecution - Loss of employment, banking services, and business opportunities
• Social ostracism - Rejection by family, friends, and community
• Legal harassment - Prosecution for "hate crimes" and other manufactured offenses
• Physical persecution - Imprisonment, violence, and possibly death

But these costs pale in comparison to the cost of compromise. Those who surrender their conscience to the system may preserve their physical lives, but they will lose their souls.

The Promise of Victory

Despite the overwhelming nature of the opposition, we can be confident of ultimate victory because our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in high places. And we know that Christ has already won the victory through His death and resurrection.

The Scripture promises:"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death"(Revelation 12:11, KJV).

This is our calling and our destiny: to overcome the dragon by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony, loving not our lives unto death.

Chapter 10: Awakening from the Deception - Christ's Call to Freedom

The total onslaught against our liberties and freedom of conscience is not a cause for despair, but a call to awakening. Christ Himself warned us that these things would come to pass, and He has given us the tools we need to stand firm in the evil day.

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 (KJV)

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." - John 8:36 (KJV)

True freedom is not found in political systems or economic theories—it is found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and in Him alone can we find the strength to resist the coming deception and stand for truth in these last days.

The Nature of True Freedom

The freedom that Christ offers is fundamentally different from the freedom promised by the world. Worldly freedom is the absence of external restraint—the ability to do whatever one wants without interference. But this kind of freedom is ultimately illusory, because it leads to slavery to sin and self-destruction.

True freedom, biblical freedom, is the ability to do what is right—to live according to God's design and purpose for human life. This freedom comes not from the absence of law, but from the transformation of the heart that makes obedience to God's law a joy rather than a burden.

The Process of Awakening

Awakening from the deception of our time is not a one-time event, but a process that involves several stages:

• Recognition - The first step is recognizing that we have been deceived. This requires humility and the willingness to admit that much of what we have believed about the world is false.
• Investigation - Once we recognize the deception, we must investigate the truth for ourselves. This requires diligent study of Scripture, history, and current events from a biblical perspective.
• Repentance - As we discover the truth, we must repent of our participation in the deception and turn away from the systems and institutions that promote it.
• Resistance - Finally, we must actively resist the deception and work to expose it to others. This is not optional—it is our Christian duty to be salt and light in a dark and corrupt generation.

The Role of the Church

The church has a crucial role to play in the awakening process. Unfortunately, much of the institutional church has been compromised and co-opted by the very forces it should be opposing. Many churches have become little more than social clubs or political organizations, having lost their prophetic voice and their commitment to biblical truth.

But God is raising up a remnant—faithful believers who are committed to the truth of His Word and who are willing to stand against the tide of deception. These believers may not have the support of the institutional church, but they have something far more valuable: the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

The Coming Persecution

As the deception deepens and the new world order is implemented, those who stand for truth will face increasing persecution. This persecution will come not just from secular authorities, but from religious leaders who have compromised with the system.

Jesus warned us:"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another"(Matthew 24:9-10, KJV).

But He also promised:"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved"(Matthew 10:22, KJV).

The Ultimate Victory

Despite the darkness of our time, we can be confident of ultimate victory because our God reigns. The forces of evil may appear to be winning, but their victory is temporary and illusory. Christ has already defeated Satan at the cross, and He will return to establish His kingdom on earth.

The book of Revelation gives us a glimpse of that final victory:"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away"(Revelation 21:3-4, KJV).

The Call to Action

The hour is late, and the time for action is now. We cannot afford to remain passive spectators while the forces of darkness advance their agenda. Each of us has a role to play in the great battle between good and evil that is unfolding in our time.

Some are called to be teachers and preachers, proclaiming the truth from pulpits and platforms. Others are called to be writers and researchers, documenting the deception and exposing the lies. Still others are called to be activists and organizers, building networks of resistance and mutual support.

But all of us are called to be witnesses—living testimonies to the power of Christ to transform lives and set captives free. In a world that is increasingly dark and hopeless, we are called to be lights that shine in the darkness, pointing others to the hope that is found only in Jesus Christ.

The Final Word

The total onslaught against our liberties and freedom of conscience is real, and it is intensifying. But we need not fear, for our God is greater than all the forces arrayed against us. He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world.

The light still shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. Let us therefore be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Let us put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And let us go forth in the power of His Spirit to proclaim the everlasting gospel to a world that is perishing in darkness.

The total onslaught is real, but the victory is sure. For it is written:"The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."(Psalm 121:7-8, KJV)
